The Therapists / Therapy Team

Roland Oliver - Roland is the founder of Magnolia Therapy Space and an experienced psychotherapist.

Dr Kate Chandler - I am a trainee psychotherapist in my final stages of training, with membership of the UK Council for Psychotherapy. I provide therapy that meets you where you are, providing support for anxiety, depression, relationship problems (including consensual non-monogamy, polyamory and LGBTQIA+), neurodivergence, burnout & workplace issues. Before training as a psychotherapist, I worked in the life sciences (including medical and veterinary academic, clinical and research environments) and public service leadership. These experiences inform the way I understand stress, over-whelm, responsibility, and the search for meaning in complex systems — including our inner lives. I bring this depth to my therapeutic work, while always keeping the focus on you and your unique experience. I have a Foundation Certificate in psychotherapy from Regents University, London, and am completing a Masters Programme (Year 4 out of 5) in Person-Centred Psychotherapy at the Metanoia Institute. I also have a PhD in neuroscience (epilepsy) from UCL (2004). As a psychotherapist, I am required to have regular supervision where my anonymised client work is reviewed on a regular basis. I adhere to the UKCP Code of Ethics and Professional Practice. I offer person-centred psychotherapy and counselling on Thursday evenings starting from £45/hour.

Charlotte Allocca - I’m a qualified integrative psychotherapist which means I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches to meet your individual needs and goals. If you are feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, depression, bereavement, relationship difficulties, trauma or the challenges of different life stages I can help. Your feelings however are unique to you and you do not have to be able to put a name to them. An awareness that your mental health is under pressure is the first step to recovery.
Life can be too much at times. If you are trying to make sense of painful emotions, difficult experiences or repeating patterns of behaviour then therapy provides an opportunity to reflect and develop new approaches. I can offer a place where my experience and passion meet your pain and we are able to explore new ways for you to cope. My role is to provide a space where you feel heard, understood and supported. Your role is to set the pace and decide what to explore.
I am warm and approachable and understand the importance of building a trusting and sincere relationship with you. If you are considering therapy I would be delighted to talk more to you about how I can help. I work with adults facing a range of psychological difficulties including:
• Anxiety and panic
• Depression and low mood
• Bereavement and loss
• Life changes and transitions
• Relationship and family issues
• Women’s health including fertility, pregnancy, post-partum and menopause
• Low self-esteem or confidence
• Past trauma or unresolved experiences
